The velcro strap adjusts to my high instep and they accommodate my problem feet . The mary jane style will definitely work for my work place. Perfect for the coming spring/summer months. I will have to get a black pair for fall because I plan to wear this style frequently. Thanks, Amazon. I couldn't find this color anywhere else. Some people post they have problems on stairs. I live in a split-entry, and no problems for me going up and down them at all.
