The strappy coverage keeps your feet from getting too cold while still allowing you to wear summertime sandals. As one reviewer indicated, I noticed that one shoe felt a little tighter than the other at first; but after wearing them several times, each shoe is now very comfortable. These sandals are not quite as comfy as the Skechers Dash style sandal (hence the four stars instead of five), but they have helped my posture and a few back issues. I am ashamed to admit how many pairs of Shape Ups I own, but feel they have been well worth the investment as it's now hard to wear any other type of shoe. The rolling, cushy comfort has become extremely habit forming! Needless to say, I highly recommend them. For many, sizing in the sandals has been different than the Shape Up sneaker so consider going a half size down when ordering.
